What we do

Established in 1993, Birmingham Future is the leading membership organisation for the city’s future leaders working in business and professional services. 

We currently have around 500 members who all come together to create a collective voice for young professionals. The profile of our membership is diverse; from trainees and assistants to managers and directors across Birmingham’s businesses drawing from many sectors including the professional, financial and creative sectors. 

Birmingham Future champions a number of exciting initiatives, including Birmingham Young Professional of the Year, the Graduate Apprentice and the Inspiring Futures & Momentum mentoring scheme. In addition, we are engaged in a number of citywide initiatives, from Colmore Row Business District to the Big City Plan. 

As the voice of young professionals, we provide opportunities for members to take part in new and ongoing conversations about the future of their city and industry, through our extensive events calendar.

These events are run by Birmingham Future members, with support of the office team, and aim to aid personal and professional development. In addition to these events, our members also receive a large number of member benefits.

Birmingham Future is part of Birmingham Forward, the independent membership organisation for the city’s professional and business services sector.
