An opportunity to join the board of TVTTS
TVTTS, a web based directory of over 80 not for profit conference venues across Birmingham, is looking for commercial individuals to join its board. In April 2009 Birmingham City Council (BCC) committed to using this directory as there main procurement tool for booking meetings and events in the city and to show there commitment to the sustainability of third sector venues.
In June 2010 the newly registered Cooperative launched the website as a venue finding tool for individuals and business nationally to easily find and book venues that are classed as not for profit.
Our main aims for the next 12 months are:
- Increasing awareness of Third Sector Organisations as providers of conference and meeting space;
- Capacity build the sector and sustainability for each venue on the website;
- Raising the profile of Third Sector conference venues as a competitor to private sector venues but offer SROI;
- Increasing income generation for each venue; and
- Targeting public, statutory and private sector businesses to change procurement practices to use Third Sector Conference Venues.
