How to get involved
Almost a decade of successful mentoring has been achieved through the commitment, positivity and professionalism of mentors and mentees, and the committee is always on the lookout for participants to be matched through the scheme.
The committee takes matching very seriously to ensure that participants are paired with the most appropriate person. This means there may be a short gap between submitting your application and being notified of your pairing, whether you are volunteering to be a mentor, or you wish to be a mentee.
Once matched, it is up to both parties to schedule meetings as often as necessary, although it is generally seen as the responsibility of the mentee to drive the pace of the meetings and how often they occur.
How to become a mentor
If you would like to provide support and encouragement as a mentor to one of the city’s professionals, please fill in the mentoring questionnaire and return it to mentoring@birminghamforward.co.uk. A committee member will then be in touch to notify you of your pairing.
How to become a mentee
If you are a Birmingham Future member and are keen to reap all the benefits of being mentored through the Birmingham Future programme, simply fill in the mentoring questionnaire and return it to mentoring@birminghamforward.co.uk. A committee member will then be in touch to let you know who your mentor is.
