Future members take on Birmingham Half Marathon for third year running
A team of 18 Birmingham Future members has tackled the Birmingham Half Marathon – which took place Sunday 24 October 2010 – for the third year running.
The team – led by Paul Fielding of the Birmingham Future community development committee, an assistant director at Brewin Dolphin – will be announcing the final total raised in coming weeks. However, says Paul, “there is still time to sponsor us!"
Paul explains: “we’ve run this year on behalf of the Birchfield Harriers 12 for 12 campaign – which is supporting 12 local athletes in their London 2012 Olympic dream. We’re hoping to raise well over £2,000 for the campaign and so we’re calling on Birmingham Future members to dig deep and sponsor us.
“Not everyone wants to run 13 miles on a Sunday morning – and we’ll forgive you for not seeing us off at the start line – but it would be great if members could consider sponsoring us to make the physical exertion worthwhile!”
