Committee Member - KidsOut

KidsOut brings fun and brightness into disadvantaged and underprivileged children's lives.  It is a national charity helping over 50,000 children each year. There are three main activities:

The KidsOut Day Out - nearly 30,000 disadvantaged children and young people every year are given a fun day out. 

Multi-Media Outreach - KO has 5 Multi-Media vans operating around the UK and a static centre in Wolverhampton. Each is fully equipped with the latest multi-media equipment. 

Toy Boxes - "Imagine that you're eight years old and you watched Daddy hitting Mummy all the time. One night Mummy woke you up and you both left home with only the clothes you were wearing and a few personal possessions. You're now living with Mummy far away from Daddy, somewhere you don't know, with no friends and no toys to play with". At a point in children's lives where things seem really bad KidsOut is there to help. Working with DHL, Argos, Mothercare and ELC and 125 refuges across the UK, KidsOut sends special Toy Boxes to thousands of these children every year.

Opportunity: KidsOut run two main fundraising activities each year, a Ball and a Sports Quiz. As a committee member these would be your main focus.
